Mothers day is fast approaching! Last year I took this offer for the American Greetings free 14 day trial. I kept mine after the 14 days as it was less than $20 for the year. But it was nice to know I could cancel before the 14 days was up and I got 2 big benefits. 1. I got to see all the cards American Greetings offered. Not just in the mothers day ecard department but for everything, wallpaper, print cards… the works. And the second benefit was that I went ecard psycho. I sent everyone I knew an ecard or 2 before the 14 days was up.

I even scheduled cards to be sent 3 months later. That was pretty cool too. American Greetings offers one of the best mothers day ecard selections. First I searched around most of the free mothers day ecard websites and I’ll have to say, so many of them were really cheesy. Well, cards can be pretty cheesy. But, at least with American Greetings I got good cheesy. Personally, I think the American Greetings offer is a really, really valuable one. As I said before, last year, not only did I get my mothers day ecards sent (mom, grandma, sister, aunt) but I also got 14 days full use out of it and even then decided to keep the offer and not cancel.

I probably use American Greetings for their service at least 3 times each month and feel that I’ve gotten everything I paid for and then some. And besides that, it really messes with my head to pay almost 5 dollars for a greeting card, then on top of that… postage. Only to have the card thrown away or put in a drawer. (Come on mom, you know you do that!)

This year, I’ve already picked out the mothers day ecard I want. I’ve scheduled it to be delivered to mom the day before her big day… but I also did something else.

I printed it out. Then I put it as the first page of a slim photo album and I put pictures of mom and I in it. Pictures of when I was little and mom was so young and beautiful. I stuck things in there like my old report cards and things. I’ll be mailing it off to her so she gets it the day before Mom’s Day and then she’ll get a second surprise on Mothers Day in her email. I actually selected 2 cards to be delivered to her. It will be nice.
