Help Your Local Community Offline

meetupsHelping your community offline will reward many people with more friends and feelings of joy than ever before. There’s nothing like bonding with like minded people and building relationships.

Building a smarter community all starts with you.

We’ll give you some ideas in how to help your community offline right now and we will continue to in the future. And we’re certain some of you creative types will come up with your own ways, we just hope you share them with us so we can become an army.

Signs
Signs are so inexpensive. We even sell them however, you would better serve your community by purchasing them locally. Go to our online store and get some ideas for the design. If needed, we will send you the artwork. Signs can be placed in your yard for starters. It’s a way of telling your neighbors, “this is one of the things I strongly believe in.” They can also be placed in front of local establishments and on streets in your area. (ask about the city ordinances before you put a sign up).

materevenmorFriends
Enlist your friends. After all, what would you do without them. Remember, SOLObuzz is about many people doing a little. Make sure you check our Social Site on Ning to see if there are any more members in your area. We can help hook you up.

Neighbors
If you’re fortunate enough to have a couple neighbors, this is a great way to get to know them better. Like your friends, they will come up with other ideas to promote SOLObuzz.

Local Businesses
Give a stack of flyers to Local Businesses to stick in their customers bags. What local brick and mortar business wouldn’t want to promote SOLObuzz and the Shop Local message? If you happen to know a local business owner, get them involved. Local Shop owners know others who own their own businesses.

Meetups
We could talk on this all day. Meetups are the most fun. And if it’s not already claimed, perhaps you can be the organizer. Meetups are simply scheduled dates and times where members meet at a certain place. They are totally informal gatherings. Our meetups always take place at local brick and mortar businesses, family or locally owned restaurants, coffee shops or pubs. Sometimes they take place in other places but the purpose is in supporting local businesses. We’ll give you more details on meetups when you sign up as an affiliate.
